Save Water Save Life.

Welcome To Phe

Water is an elixir of life. The valley is bestowed with plenty of water sources especially surface sources.Water features are the principal components of its scenic beauty. The Jhelum river has been and continues to be the key element of the system with its tributaries such as Sindh, Liddar, Vishav, Rambiara, Doodhganga, Shaliganga, Pohru, Erin, Madhumati, Sukhnag, Aripal, Sandran, Bringi, Romshi, Ferozpore and Ningli etc.The valley is dotted by world famous lakes viz, wullar, Dal, Manasbal, Aanchar, Gangbal, Tarsar, Marsar, Gadsar , Satsar, Kokernag, Krishensar, Bramsar, Nigeen, Shesshnag, Vishensar, Dachigam.
Water in the kashmir valley is an extraordinary paradox. The geomorphic character of the valley is however, such that there is excess of water or its deficiency.Wateris most plentiful in the low lying parts of the valley while the adjoining kerawas and uplands suffer from aridity imposed by itd chronic deficiency. The consequence is that the valley presents the anomolous case of scariety in the midst of planet.
